If you’re ever worried about movement please contact your maternity triage!xx

@Vicky ok Thankyou I will xx

At that stage triage may recommend laying on your left hand side and really focusing in on baby’s movements, as patterns aren’t very set and they have a tonne of space to move around in still! Definitely always recommended to ring triage but so it’s not a surprise if they don’t tell you to go in / don’t seem very concerned; I had similar at 25 weeks and they essentially said you can come in if you want but it’s not surprising you are having quieter days x

@Jess I will try that out Thankyou I know you shouldn’t but I did have a look on google and also said there can be quieter days which settled my mind a little it’s just that this is my first and have no idea what to expect if I don’t feel movement tomorrow I will definitely contact midwife xx

@Amie honestly it’s a minefield as soon as you go online isn’t it! I was a proper state before I spoke to triage and they explained about quieter days and patterns being set etc - hopefully your little one gives you a few kicks tonight to put your mind at ease x

From personal experience I would say any change in movement and you should call the midwife line as soon as you can. Everything is probably absolutely fine but it’s so worth just calling and getting checked

@Jess it really is and I hope so too. Really appreciate you taking your time to help xx

Hey so I had on and off days where baby moved less. I was a FTM also and was sent into panic mode! Defo try laying in your left side and have a cold drink.. if you are concerned go triage I went so Many times and they are lovely will reassure u However from my experience yes I did have days where I felt her move less.. thankfully my baby was born completely healthy

Personally I started feeling my baby at 23 weeks as well and that week I felt a couple kicks the first day, maybe one the next day and 2 the day after etc. ur was hit or miss the first couple weeks but then they start to become more frequent!! After a few more weeks if you then don’t feel consistent movement then that’s when it becomes an issue I believe !!
