Milk

My 1 year old has been sick most of the day. Had hardly any food. Is it wise to give milk before bed? She's barely keeping water down😭

I personally wouldn’t knowing they wasn’t keeping water down, I’d just keep trying with water to keep baby hydrated.

@Chloe thank you! Was worrying in case she's hungry 🤦🏼‍♀️

I wouldn't, if she's struggling to keep water down then milk will hit that empty stomach and come straight back up. My LG has been sick recently and trust me you do not want to be scrubbing curdled milk out of your carpets at 3am

If it’s cows milk then I personally wouldn’t, if it’s formula or breast milk. Yes, as long as she’s getting something inside of her, a warm cup of honey tea (just warm water with a bit of honey) is good too. I give a very watered down chamomile tea with honey for my daughter.

@Leonie @Cindy thank you both. yeah, we've just got cows milk. We were scrubbing at 6am today 🤦🏼‍♀️ all she's had all day is one slice of toast and water that she keeps bringing up. We thought we'd have to take her to A&E, but she had a fair bit of water before bed and has kept it down since. Fingers crossed!

I personally wouldn't but maybe try get some dioralyte or 7up into her to keep her hydrated. We just went through a gastro bug so I feel ya! Hope she's feeling better soon ❤️

Make a smoothie for your baby …they love that …and a least baby is drinking something @Chloe pedialyte also is good … help them hydrating

I’d suggest pedialyte to keep her hydrated and the BRAT diet…does she have a stomach bug?

Keeping her hydrated is the most important thing. Small sips at a time and don’t try food until maybe tomorrow

She'll eat when she's hungry, I wouldn't worry. Just try and keep hydrated with water x

Awh hope bubs is ok
