Do you always let your baby/child participate in daycare activities/events that are additional?

My baby is only 1 yr old and her daycare almost always do events/activities that should be paid if I want to let her participate. But she's only a yr old, so I don't really think she will enjoy it? Also, parents are asked/requested to come and join these events with their children, but I'm always busy at work and I always feel bad about making my baby participate without me being by her side. I don't really get these activities, that's why I put my baby to daycare due to our financial situation so we can't really afford for my baby to always participate given the expensive tuition fees as well.. but I feel so bad if I won't let her participate either... what do you all think?? I'm a ftm and having so much financial crisis :(

What happens if she doesn't go?

I don't think she's going to mind not going. At one she won't recall it very well. My parents didn't even pay for activities when I was in high school and I was fine.

At that age they wouldn't know what they are missing, I think it's okay to skip right now

I think its totally reasonablle not to go on these extra events if your child is that young. My kids daycare does field trips (science center, apple picking) that are an extra fee and have some extra parents volunteer as chaperones. Under 18months don't go (some of them are still learning to walk, and are too young to really enjoy the activity, or still need extra naps) and it's optional for the older kids
