I waited till LO was having a good day and just didnt offer it to him, he has it for naps and bed now and literally took 1 day. If hes upset or needs it he can have it. I refused to buy anymore as it was getting out of hand. Boots own brand are what we use now and he didnt notice a differencr i dont think
My little boy will turn 1 on the 30th November and we have had the exact same thing with the mam dummies! I think it’s because the teat is a lot bigger and a different shape. I tried on several occasions and he would just spit it out straight away. However this evening I offered it and just left it next to him and let him go to it then after a while of keep spitting it out he did put it in and keep it in 🤞🏼he’s gone to bed and settled fine so this could be the change over I’ve been trying months for 🙈 I was worried the smaller teat could cause issues for the mouth / teeth as it’s too small!
Maybe try introducing it when he doesn’t usually have the dummy. So give it when he’s happy playing during the day instead of bedtime/nap times. He might be more willing to accept it xx
I would personally try to go cold turkey or just stick it out offering the next size up in that brand. I wouldn't want the choking risk of baby having a dummy too small that can get lodged in their mouth 😬🥲
