I’m the same. Thankfully I’m about to train my maternity cover because honestly the next 8 weeks feels looong. All I can think about is my little one and I am constantly forgetting things 🙈thankfully earlier in my pregnancy I planned every important task in my outlook calendar to keep me on track.
The forgetfulness is so real isn't it! This is my second and it feels way worse than I remember with my first pregnancy 🙈 I work from home and my office is going to be the nursery, so I'm surrounded by distractions!
I agree, work is so hard! I'm lucky I'm a TA so I can go to the toilet when I need to and my colleagues are actually as helpful as they can be but still, the weeks until Christmas are gonna be very long!
I honestly can’t compare it to anything ☺️ awww that’s lovely - I can see why it would be distracting. I WFH too and it’s sooo tempting to think about all the little things to prepare before they arrive. ☺️ I used to work in marketing, it’s a really fast paced industry so I can see why it would take its toll. Hopefully your manager is understanding. Just think, your colleagues will understand one day. I start a lot of meetings with “please bear with me” so that they are more mindful and it’s kind for like addressing the elephant in the room. I feel more at ease with my colleagues this way. ☺️
@Sophia reception teacher here - feeling this with every fibre of my being!
@Sophia how did you get kids this cute? Mine couldn’t give a shit😂
I'm 29 weeks with 9 weeks to go at work.. got an exam this week for work and really struggling with retaining any info 😭
I’m a secondary English teacher and I am already starting to question my planned Mat leave date - largely because not being able to go to the loo when needed is shocking, and energy levels cannot keep up.
