Pumping at work

I just started working again and between pumping time and cleaning the parts after it’s a little over a half hour and I can’t be gone that long. Does anyone use pumping wipes? Or the fridge method? Or any tips to make the cleaning go faster?

I use the fridge method!! But also have the dapple wipes but they smell funny to me

Do you use the same bag everytime?

Yes a gallon sized bag. My rationale is I use pitcher method so all my milk from one day goes in the same place then I wash my pump at night so it’s fresh for the next day

Do you get new pump parts every month through insurance? I went on Amazon and purchased extra duck bills and silicone membranes and I just keep the old flanges and bottles and replace those parts so I have 3 sets total and that’s all I need to pump at work and I store them in a bag and wash and sanitize when I get home. Then each month I get new parts I just cycle them I throw away the oldest flange set and replace it with the new. Otherwise I’d say fridge method - I woman trust any of those wipes to not have weird chemicals of some sort.

I do have two sets of pump parts I don’t get new parts every month it’s every couple of months for my insurance. I was thinking about bringing two sets in and washing once a day but I didn’t realize how long it would take to wash the parts. I need to wash faster I think haha

I’ve always stuck mine in the fridge as I just pump to empty so 5 mins here and there

I did the fridge method but always had extra parts in case my parts suddenly smelled funky. If I forgot extra parts, I also would rinse the best I could with soap and water and sterilized with the medela sanitize bags you put in the microwave. I only used the wipes to clean the area I was I pumping around lol

When you used the sanitizer bags did the parts come out wet?

They do put they dry super fast. You don't need much water in the bag to sanitize. I want to say it's like 1 or 2 oz of water at the bottom of the bag. I would rinse them and throw them in the bag, sanitize, lay them out on a paper towel while I cleaned up the room I was pumping in. Then by the time I was done cleaning up the parts were practically dry. I would say the bottles i was pumping into took the longest to dry. I also bought this mesh bag from pumping pals that let me put drying parts into so if I had to go back to work but say the bottles weren't quite dry I could stick them in there to dry out until my next pump.

I do the fridge method. After using i don't rinse or wipe. I just put it in ziplock and keep it in fridge. I was after 3-4 use. I replace the ziplock every 4 days.
