Sick

Hello, first time mum and just experienced my 3 week old first projectile vomit. It seemed like the entire contents of the feed she just had. Temperature is 36.7 so fine. She seems ok in herself. Just wondering why she’d just randomly throw up??

Have Dr check her for acid reflux!! And if they say no, always get a second opinion!!

Her tummy could’ve just been too full as babies don’t know when to stop, they will keep going! X

Don't ask me why but 3 weeks seems to be the magic age at which babies start bringing up feeds a lot and then it slows down 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Reena oh really? That’s so interesting. It came out of nowhere! I wonder why.

I think I read about it on an infant feeding page, something to do with them waking up and being a big more aware. I had the same with my youngest he starting to bring up lots of liquid at 3 weeks and about 5/6 months it just went down now it's a rare occurrence.

One thing to be aware of you say "projectile" what do you mean? Was it just quite forceful or did it shoot across a room? For a doctor projectile means shooting across the room and they would want to see you.

Mine did the same thing around that age! The entire feed all over me at 4am, 11 weeks now and she’s done it maybe 3 times total
