My little one caught it last week and is just getting over it. She was off for about a week before any actual spots started showing. She also kindly gave it to me. She isn’t even at nursery yet so I have no idea where she picked it up from!

Eldest has had it twice, didn’t catch it when he first started nursery, got a load of other illnesses though.

@Chloe it's weekly mine getting ill at nursery currently :(

@Kristie what symptoms did you get ? I did see someone said their little one probably picked it up at soft play etc if you've been to anything like that? He isn't good 😕 my throats killing but not sure if that's from the cold he kindly gave me last week x

My baby got it at 8 months from a library rhyme class.

@Elz it started as her being super fussy and clingy and taking forever to be put down for naps and bedtime. Then she started getting a fever. A day or so later she then got a few spots around her mouth. We thought it was cold sore. The next day she was covered in a rash that was concentrated on arms and legs. Then she started coming out with blisters and red spots on her hands and feet. I think she had it fairly mildly as she only got a small cluster of spots on her face and no more than 10 spots on her hands and her feet. But she was so unsettled for about 2 weeks. I have ulcers all in the back of my throat and have had dots that you can barely see on my fingers and toes which have made walking or doing anything with my hands painful. I’ve had symptoms for about a week but they are getting better now. No wonder little one was so off for a week before she started showing any spots if she felt anything like it did!

We've had it here too. Was before little one started nursery so presuming we got it from soft play, but who knows. Took about a week for my boy's to clear up xx

She got it after a couple of weeks at childminder but had it very mildly. I think she gave it to a load of babies at baby sensory (obvs I didn’t know she had it then!)

@Elz It’s hard but it’s sooo normal, it does settle down. And HFM is pretty inevitable at some stage, just like chicken pox, even if it doesn’t happen in these first few weeks. But not every child gets them badly, some get really mild cases! I’ve heard HFM is pretty rife at the moment though!

@Chloe he's improving now but defo didn't have it mild we always seem to go all out when we are ill bless him.. most the kids at the nursery ended up with it by the looks of it x

@Kristie this was the same with me he slowly got more grumpy and hard work bless him then when he come out in the rash it all made sense. He had spots everywhere but his face his bum was red raw with them :( did you come down with it at the same time or relatively a time after ? X

@Elz yeah! Her bum was red raw as well bless her. It started coming down with it a day or so after she started showing the spots. I think I was unwell for a week in total and she was unwell for about 2 weeks - one week showing no spots but all the other symptoms like not eating, grumpy, up all night, etc. then a week of spots but seeming completely fine in herself

@Kristie sounds Just like how he has been I've been rough but no ulcers / spots x
