When is everyone swapping to pram instead of carrycot?

Everything online is conflicting with some sites saying when they can hold their head up or around 3 months and some saying not until 6 months/sitting unassisted?

I heard it was sitting assisted, but I tried transferring her and the straps don't go tight enough anyway... So I guess we are waiting till she is bigger!

I changed at 8 weeks as he was almost the same length as the carrycot part 😂 my health visitor said it was fine as long as it can recline to almost flat

It largely depends on the pram tbf. They should ideally be able to hold their head up though and be flat when sleeping up until 6 months. I will probably change mine around 4-5 months depending on how she goes, she currently falls asleep every time she’s in the carrycot so don’t want her in the pram where she would end up chin to chest

We moved up when our little boy was 2 months. He was able to fully support his own head and had outgrown his carry cot. He also hated not being able to be nosey. Our pram is suitable from birth and lays flat for naps. I think it depends on the pram but also when baby is ready, every baby is so different on what works for them xx

@Emmo my lb was sort of the same with the straps. But after I added the footmuff it was fine xx

My baby was too long at 3.5 months.
