Sent home still in pain, no explanation

I'm 34+3 and started having sharp pain on the right side on my lower bump yesterday. Today I woke up feeling really nauseous, drowsy like I'd drank too much alcohol and the sharp pain plus pain along my lower bump. Triage told me to come in, on the CTG I was having contractions fairly consistently, some of them having to breathe through and went into the 60s/70s on TOCO%. The midwife commented it on it repeatedly, I also still have 2+ lucacytes (?) in my urine after being on antibiotics for a week for 3+, the doctor checked my cervix is closed and took swabs then told me to stay dosed up on paracetamol and come back if the pain gets worse. Didn't address the contractions, confirm an infection or prescribe something for it. I told them I went into labour with my oldest at 37 weeks because of an untreated infection, which was fine then as I was term but I'm not term rn so surely it's not safe to leave me with a persistent infection, in pain and contracting? I dunno what I'm asking really I just feel like this is really not good enough? Since leaving the hospital my thighs are sore, I'm still getting fairly regular tightening and still getting the pain. I feel like I'm being silly now? I was laying down basically all day so it's not pain from over exerting myself but I have no explanation either for what's going on.

If you’re not happy or reassured then definitely go back - you know your body best at the end of the day. Especially in terms of the infection - you’re definitely not being silly! It’s better to go back multiple times a day in my opinion and be fully happy that you’re getting sorted properly than to leave it and it turns out it’s something worse. I hope it all goes well for you - you don’t need the worry on top of everything else x

I'd ring up at the v least to get an explanation of what's going on. If you're still in pain and not happy, then I would go in. I'd just outright ask them if it's an infection and if it is then do you need more antibiotics. I totally get why you're concerned

Thankyou ladies, the midwife was lovely but it came down to the doctor in the end and he just wasn't very helpful and left me feeling quite dismissed so I appreciate the reassurance 🫶🏻

Hey @Amber are you feeling any better this morning?

@Emma hey, I'm actually having pain that wraps around my back like period pain so will be back at the hospital if it doesn't stop when movement like braxton hicks are supposed to 😩 thankyou for checking 🥹
