Wean baby off tv

I feel terrible, I think my baby is addicted to Ms Rachel. He's only 11 months old. Has anyone cut their child off of TV when it seemed to start to get out of control? I need advice 😭 it's been hard with hardly any help, my baby is so active and needs a lot of stimulation but I can't be playing with him all day long. He is also very destructive so I can't let him play with toys that are hard cause he just wants to pick them up aggressively and accidentally hits himself with them or falls on them in his playpen so he has to be supervised with more advanced toys. Baby toys are just not stimulating enough so I put the TV on way too often. But now he cries until I put Ms Rachel on and now he's already sick of all the old episodes and hates the singing parts so I'm always having to fast forward, skip commercials and find a video he's not already sick of lol ugh I just feel like he needs so much stimulation, he needs to be challenged but he's at a stage where he needs constant supervision so he doesn't get hurt. Anyone else with super active babies here? What do you do all day? gimme tips please 😭

Yeah they threw a fork at our tv and broke it so we quit cold turkey. Lol my kids did fine

My baby is 14 months old and very active. I also have no help until my husband gets home at 6pm. We adapted the entire living room so he can play around free. It is hard girl. I honestly let him explore and experience what hurts or not (of course with limits). My baby loves heights and at 9 months old he started exploring our couch, fell thousands of times, learned how to get up and down safely and we all survived lol Your baby is most likely having TV abstinence and I would reduce TV as much as you can slowly each day. He will cry, he will lose his mind but he will survive. Take him outside, put him in the bathtub to play with water. Let him bang toys on himself and explore the feelings. He is about to become a toddler and to feel bored is healthy to stimulate his creativity. Screen addiction is real girl you will find your son being much calmer after a while without tv. We still use TV sometimes whenever I really need to get something done but never over 30 minutes. You got this!

I had to ban blipping entirely from the house gf!

I feel terrible about this too so i’m following 😭 my son is 7 months old & I was / am still dealing with ppd pretty badly so I always put the tv on just to give me a little bit of a breather because we don’t have many toys for him to play with that keep his attention longer than a little while 🙃 he’s also not crawling yet and gets very frustrated when he’s left by himself to “explore” his surroundings so it’s either i’m sitting with him ALL DAY trying to keep him from crying and figuring out what to do with minimal activities or he watches Ms. Rachel and he’s good for hours ☹️ I feel terribly about it and always talk about wanting to ween him off of tv time but I have no clue where to start and it feels impossibleeeeee
