Low Supply

So my daughter nurses when she's with me and I pump while I'm at work (8-4:30). I used to get 8-10 ounces while at work and now I'm lucky to get 5. When she nurses, she seems satisfied and doesn't eat more frequently. So how come I'm barely getting anything when I pump? Please help.

Baby is a more efficient milk remover than any pump. I have lots of tips to increase supply if you want them!

@Kelly I've done about everything under the sun, but please share and I'll see if there's something I haven't tried yet 🤣 I only have milk in one breast so it's been a fight since day one. I also exclusively pumped for 2 months and then switched to nursing and only doing bottles when I'm at work. It's been such a rollercoaster.

I used to mainly pump but then l became a oversupply I switched to mainly nurse and now l pump maybe 2 times a day I still manage to get over 15 in both boobs while baby still be good through the day. My husband started to make fruit juice which he also adds coconut water and a lot of water l take one cup before and after pumping. Then through the day l make sure l eat enough meat at least.

I totally understand! Things I'm doing: Pumping or latching every 2-2.5 hours during the day Flax seed Oatmeal Oat milk Magnesium Iron Moringa Protein Hydrate Coconut water (mixed with something usually gatorade) Skin to skin Other things I've heard work: Power pumping Goat's rue Fennel seed Also stay away from fenugreek, it can dry you up Good luck!

My doctor recommended fenugreek to me recently. I think it may depend on the such individual. I haven’t tried it yet but I have not heard good things about it though.

So for me my supply has been better since I started doing a lactation smoothie a day and then a lactation bite or two a day (you make them and they are good for 2 weeks). We went on vacation and I got my period so I’ve been struggling with my supply in terms of pumping while baby is at daycare until finally today I pumped the best I have in two weeks.
