Sleep 😩

For the last 4 consecutive days my 10 month has been fighting his second nap to point that he then misses it completely. I’m not sure what to do. I think he is too young to drop to 1 nap at the same time I can’t be up in his room for 1.5 hours trying to put him to sleep. Have you mamas experienced this with your little ones or are you going through the same thing right now. What do I do?

Mine is fighting hers too so I’m following for advice! I definitely think she’s too young for 1 nap though. Just doesn’t feel like there’s enough time in the day!!

I feel like my baby is in this weird in between stage where he’s slightly too old for two naps but still slightly young for one. He will still have two naps but it’s getting a little bit tricky to fit them in. You could try him on one nap for a day just to see how it goes? Even if it’s a little early that might just be normal for him.

I'm exactly the same with one of my twins at the moment! I was having a look into it earlier today and apparently there's another sleep regression around this age from all the development milestones hitting around now. She's almost figured out how to crawl, and attempting to talk and teething so the combo is just no sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️ I managed to trick her into sleep yesterday though by pulling a hat over her eyes.

It's crazy. Just last week a third one slipped in. I've been tracking the last two but today it was one long one!🫠 I'm not too sure yet if it was a one-off. I'm currently dealing with a pretty deranged baby as our bedtime isn't until 9

Same happened to me, but with the morning nap. It was taking me around 1.5 hours to get him to sleep! Stretched him out for 1 nap (had to feed to sleep twice to ensure he slept for 2 hours) and then did an early bedtime. It worked ok, did it a few days but since, he’s been showing tired cues a lot earlier and falling asleep in the AM so I’ve gone back to 2 naps for now, but have to have him in the car or pram to sleep, although I think it will be time to drop it soon.

How long is the 1st nap? Try limiting the first nap to 30 mins then fit in a 2nd nap and more likely to sleep with a short 1st nap. Quite a few babies at work (nursery) start to have a short AM nap in order to still have a 2nd nap. Xx
