Electric pumps

Hi I’m using the electric kissbobo double breast pumps to collect colostrum. First time using it today and got 1ml off each boob. Could anybody guide me with which settings best to use, how long for etc? I’ll attach photos :)

I Personally use massage mode first get things warmed up, when I feel my let down usually about 5-8 mins in, I go to this, for another 5-8 mins, and do about 10 mins on breast pumping mode. You shouldn’t pump for than 30 mins at a time to avoid tissue damage. Also recommend sizing your nipples for the correct flanges x

I was told not to use a breast pump to collect colostrum and to hand express only as it can cause early labour. Additionally if you are wanting to breastfeed, I was told you shouldn’t use a pump for six weeks to establish a good latch and feeding for baby. Just letting you know this incase you don’t know! Sorry if it’s unwanted advice! Xx

@Katherine I couldn’t get anything with hand expressing, so speaking to my midwife we decided, because of my gestational diabetes too so that baby would have something to balance out their sugars if need be. I would recommend OG poster having that conversation about using a pump. Furthermore, you can pump if exclusive Bf, and still maintain a good latch with babe. I would pump the other side to what babe is on. I think OG poster needs to have a conversation with her midwife to get Bf advice x
