“Hitting”

A baby “hitting” or grabbing your face is there way of showing you affection. You are the person who provides them with everything, milk, comfort, warm clothes. It’s their way of trying to give you something back. That’s what I read on one of the baby apps anyways lol it makes me feel a lot better about him hitting me!! 😂

@Emily I’ve read that too and it seems like it’s the case when he’s exploring my face and putting his hands in my mouth BUT I’m talking about closed fist just trying to hit you where I’m like dodging the swings 😂 or like he’ll end up hitting himself in the head so I’m like … is this still part of them just figuring stuff out? I just don’t want him getting used to hitting me while I’m trying to put him to sleep cause he’s only going to get bigger 😂

He’s learning his motor skills lol around this time they are still learning out to use their bodies. My son does this thing where he’s fussy he ends up moving is head a lot of you hold him up right and sometimes will knock me up side the head with his own😂. You kinda just learn to take a beating from them cause in a way they can’t fully control it just yet.

@Lydia yeah i deff sometimes let him wack me four times and im like wow, this is my life now. I got these precious hands i birthed and created, fully in action while he learns his strength 😂😂 thanks ladies makes sense I’m glad to know I’m not the only one

Yeah of course! Never alone🤍, unfortunately we’re the punching bags while they learn more about themselves 😂, but it doesn’t last forever, just the get couple months until they get it under control lol.

Our daughter is aggressively with her swings and puts her weight behind them. She’s certainly found how to hit and clench a fist for a swing! I don’t get them as much as her other mum does 😂 my sister was like why is your child so mean 😂

@Sophie he only does this with me pretty much 😳😂 he’s like clearly tired, so I’m trying to help him sleep and soothe him and he’s just straight swinging after swing on me and my chest area 😂 don’t get me started with tummy times and the throat kicks!! 😭
