Mucus in poo

My little one is 10 weeks old and I’ve just changed his nappy and found mucus in it for the first time. He’s EBF and we’ve not had any issues so far. He has a rotten cold and is super congested - could it literally be mucus he’s ingesting? Has this happened to anyone else? Not sure if I need to investigate it or not…

Has he had his jabs? Could be the rotavirus one as that can cause loose mucusy poos.

He had them about 9 days ago… do you think that could still do it? x

If he's bunged up with mucus this can also present in LO Nappy xx

My son had his today and apparently it can still come out after up to two weeks so possibly!

It’s likely because of the cold if it’s only just started. They can’t get the snot out of their nose so more often than not they’ll end up swallowing it and it has to come out somewhere

I'll be because of the cold, because they don't know how to blow their nose they end up swallowing the mucus. Get a snot sucker it will help him breathe better and reduce how much he swallows.

Probably the cold. Babies tend to swallow the excess snot etc and it goes through their system.
