Bedtime

My LO is 3 months today and it's a real struggle to get him to sleep at night. We normally keep him downstairs with us until we go up but he seems to want to stay awake or have contact sleep until we go to bed. We have a monitor but not yet started using it. Has anyone set up a monitor near a next to me crib and started taking their little ones up to bed? FTM and I'm super nervous about starting it 🙃

we do bath then settle him in the dark room and he’s asleep by 7 with the monitor on! we were letting him sleep on us then putting him down asleep when i went to bed until recently but he’s taken to the “drowsy but awake” method really well so we have a few hours back in the evening - the monitor will let you know as soon as he starts fussing, you’ll get used to it i promise!

We do bath bottle then bed every night around 7/8 depending on feeds and he seems to settle well, we just put a monitor next to him until we go to bed x

I’m a FTM and my little one is just about to turn 4 months, for the past 2 weeks she’s been unsettled and felt like she wanted to go to bed so we’ve been starting a bedtime routine and putting her up with the monitor now. I miss her downstairs with me sooo much but it’s nice to have an hour or so in the evening back and the monitor works well :) x

My little one is 3 months old and has been through in a separate room from us to fall asleep since he was about a week old (we have a camera monitor so we watch him) I found this better for me before I got to attached. His bed time routine starts at 7 and he’s usually in bed by 8, we do bath time and play, then jammies, bottle, story and bedtime. It’s hard to be separate but you do get used to it! I’m a FTM and it’s all trial and error until you find something that works for you both xx
