Resettling

I know shorter naps are developmentally appropriate right now, but if your LO wakes up after 30 minutes (unhappy and clearly still tired), do you try and resettle them? And if you do, does it normally work and get them back to sleep?

following! i’ve never managed to get him back to sleep but tbh i haven’t tried many day naps in the cot cos i’d rather he slept longer in the sling. but it will have to shift at some point!

My LG only ever naps 30mins. I always try to resettle (not for too long) and it never works to my dismay

If my little boy is still really grouchy and still tired then ill pop on some lullaby music and hold him and pat his bum...sometimes it does take a little while but he does usually go back off

I’ll try if she doesn’t then I’ll give her 15-20 mins of trying to make her happy which takes about 5 of those minutes, then I’ll get her back to sleep, sometimes she will stay awake for 30-45 mins then have another nap

If my LG wakes up after a short while upset from her nap I will offer her a feed and normality she will then fall back to sleep on me and be happy again when she wakes up x

This happens all the time, my baby always wake up grumpy from his nap needing more, sometimes I try to resettle him but most of the time it doesn’t work 🙃 then I just have a grumpy baby until his next nap 🤣

Mine won't sleep longer than 30 mins in her crib but if I pick her up and she can sometimes continue her nap on me 😅

Sometimes I just stand up and bounce around the house, rip to my knees, but he just falls back to sleep. I don’t do it on purpose but it makes a difference to his attitude. He was not a happy bunny yesterday
