In what cases children needs to be referred to that?
After referral, what happens at CAMS?

CAMHS - children, adolescent mental health service. I work for CAMHS and in my area we complete the ADHD assessments, and obviously we receive referrals for mental health (anxiety, low mood etc). All autism assessments go to The Owls Centre as we no longer complete the assessments.
My son got rejected by CAMHS because he wasn’t showing suicidal behaviours It’ll be different in each county and town But Taunton won’t take unless the child is suicidal Which is silly as it shouldn’t get to that point xx

My son’s sen school referred my son to cahms. Unfortunately the behaviour they are seeing such as banging his head and low self esteem we don’t see at home and they blamed the placement and his age so we didn’t get far.
