Nap time help please

So, my little girl has forever been an awful sleeper. She will only fall asleep on the boob, or walking and rocking her in my arms- however day time naps it's impossible to get her down for a nap at home and she is EXHAUSTED, crying, pulling her ears and rubbing her eyes. The only way I can get her to nap is in the car, and I literally financially and financially not keep driving around and around 2x a day for her to have nice long naps, as soon as I stop the car and even leave it turned on- ping she's awake. If she doesn't nap or has rubbish naps, she's awake every 30-45 minutes through the night. At the best night I get her waking every 2 hours. Someone please help me :( from a very exhausted mummy... she's 8 months old and 3 weeks.

Oh also want to add, her 'happy' wake windows are a maximum of 3 hours, and sometimes this is a push...

I know this isn’t for everyone but have you considered sleep training ?

@Nikki I've tried a very gentle sleep training, staying in the room with her, coming back after a maximum of 5 minute intervals, and she screams and screams and cries so much it just isn't for her, and as a mother I can't stand to see her like that ever again 💔

Sorry if you have already tried it but would she sleep lying on the big bed beside you?

@CeeCee Yes we coslept from the age of 4-6 months, and it just didn't work as she got bigger- when she tried to get comfortable in my bed she would wake and need to be fed again, she's much more comfortable in her bed and doesn't wake up as often as she did in my bed as she got bigger xxx
