Naps

How do you get your baby down for a nap? I feel like we’ve got into a bad routine where I put him in his bouncer and put a particular baby sleep music video on YouTube that he drifts off to. It’s the screen time I’m worried about but it does seem to calm him down. Should I change this?

Usually I just follow my baby’s lead when it comes to her naps and don’t try to force them at all and she still sleeps the same as she normally would at night. I know when she wants a nap when she’s quiet and kind of like just stares into the abyss while sucking her dummy 🤣 or she’ll rub her face or have a little whinge. When I know she wants one I just lay her down and she falls asleep on her own but every baby is different! There will be people who don’t recommend screen time but if it works for you for nap time then it works for you! x

I just follow her sleepy cues. As soon as she rubs her eyes I take her upstairs, put on her rain white noise and her sleep sack and she goes into her crib x

I follow her cues but it's more or less the same sort of time every day, I generally end up putting her down for a nap 20-45 minutes after a bottle. Her first two naps I put her in her cot with a blanket (she has a sleep sack overnight, I use a blanket in the day to help differentiate between nap and night sleep and I can supervise her through the monitor) and white noise machine, then her third nap (normally around half 2) I'll do a contact nap because then she gets a decent 1.5/2 hour nap 😌
