My little girl has started doing this (16 weeks old) but I realised when she does want to nap she is extra cranky and screams for around 20+ mins because she’s overtired so it’s hard to settle her. I’m trying to force her to sleep after 1 1/2 hours of being awake because waiting for 2 hours or for her to want to sleep herself is too late x
As soon as my LO starts showing signs he’s tired I start soothing him to sleep. If I don’t catch the early cues then he is an absolute demon when he gets overtired. He will only go to sleep though if it’s a contact nap and then I am able to put him in his cot (sometimes it’s like moving a bomb 😂) or if he is in the pram and on the move he will sleep. Luckily he sleeps through the night the majority of the time though at the moment we are waiting for the 4 month regression to hit 😆
I swear babies are needing less and less sleep as the generation goes on! My 4 month old only has little catnaps in the car totalling like 1 hour a day maybe, but at her age my eldest and middle kids were having 3 solid naps 🤦🏼♀️🤣
I’m also using the huckleberry app to track the naps but he seems to just want to play
