I will be cosleeping the first month with my baby.

My boy wouldn’t settle in his next to me so we got a purflo nest (sleep safe). We started with him sleeping in it on the bed (safely) and then last night put it in the next to me and he slept 4hrs in it. I think the next to me is just too big and open and probably quite cold especially after you’ve held them. The purflo is pricey but he’s done lots of sleeps now in it without being held which has been a game changer!

My little one hates the next to me, but will happily settle in his Moses basket. We use the little seeds swaddles which stops him from startling himself awake!

He sleeps in the Moses basket in a sleep bag like this- https://www.tommeetippee.com/en-gb/product/the-original-grobag-sky-grey-marl-swaddlebag#530=18044&534=922 He would not sleep there during his first few days though

We’ve been carrying the Moses basket into the next to me for now as the next to me seems way too big for 2 weeks old and the Moses basket is what he’s used to all day. As soon as he’s big for a sleep suit we’ll try him for a night in the next to me maybe, but for now it seems to work placing the Moses basket into the next to me and alternating it from there to the Moses basket base in the day downstairs :-) x

We use a next to me. Here are some things that may help. White noise, swaddle, wait until they are asleep then transfer them. Wait until they are in a deep sleep before transferring which can take up to about 25 minutes. You'll need to experiment to see how long it takes for them. Sleep with their crib sheet a night so it smells of you. Warm their crib with a hot water bottle before putting them in... Hope something helps.

We started with a Moses basket but my little boy didn’t like that he couldn’t see me and his dad so we switched to a next to me crib and he’s so much better, we also bought him a tommee tippee gro bag and he loves it, he’s so much more settled than just using a blanket x
