Cosleeping while away from home

Next month, I will be staying at my grandma's for one night with my baby, who will be 10 months at that point. We have only ever coslept. We tried the bassinet and pack n play and he just did not like either. My parents have set up an air mattress for everyone who has been staying at my grandma's. I'm just not sure if that is safe to cosleep on or if I should be trying to get something else for the one night we'll be there. There is a futon bed in one room but that is the bed my parents have been using and I'm not sure if my mom would let us sleep there while she is gone.

I’ve been co sleeping with both of my babies since they’ve been born I’ve never had any issues plus they sleep longer with me or their dad. Honestly the safety is up to you if you feel like he would roll, or if you’re a heavy sleepy then maybe don’t. You can try sleeping with him in your arms or in the middle next to you and put pillows on the other side or the floor

i have practiced co-sleeping with my son on an air mattress as we like to go camping and plan to when the weather improves.. i used a baby nest on the mattress to prevent him rolling and it worked a treat!

When we had my first our actual bed broke so we got an air mattress. We coslept on that with her for months and when we go to my aunt’s house we sleep on an air mattress as well.

The most important thing to remember about an air mattress is that it is not made of breathable material.

I co sleep since my baby's born and we ve been traveling many times since. I never stayed somewhere where I couldn't safely sleep with my baby. A air mattress is dangerous. The futon seems to be a good option. If your mom doesn't want you to have the futon for your baby safety, I would just stay in a place where you can both sleep in good conditions.

We were living with my mother in law when I was pregnant and after I gave birth. We moved out when he was about 4-5 months old. We lived on the air mattress for a whole year before getting an actual mattress. Sleeping on the air mattress wouldn’t hurt for one night though. My son slept on the air mattress when he was a baby. I just made him a bed out of blankets and rolled muslim blankets to cover the cracks (the bed was against the wall). We also went camping a few times and he slept both in the pack n play and on the air mattress with us.

My baby sleeps with me and we travel every weekend

I couldn’t sleep on a air mattress comfortably with my husband and baby I guess it depends on if it’s queen or king queen was terrible
