Prescription for nausea/sickness

Has anyone been to the GP for medication for nausea/sickness and is it helping? My midwife suggested I go as the nausea is debilitating. I'm only sick probably once a day but the nausea is 24/7 and it's horrendous. She said it can take a while to find the right medicine that works for you, which puts me off as anti-sickness injections in labour with my last baby did nothing while I vomited away. It lasted until 18 weeks with my last pregnancy so I've possibly got 3 more months to go which seems impossible with a 3 year old and a job 😢

I take Nausefe, it worked for my previous pregnancy as well 🙂 Its specific medication for nausea in pregnancy, unfortunately I don't believe is available in UK pharmacies, I get it directly from Portugal. Worth checking with your gp if there is alternative in UK, I defo recommend it.

I'm on anti sickness tablets this time round. And tbf since I started taking them on Saturday I haven't really felt any nausea/been sick. Id take them if it's bad! I had sickness the whole way through my last pregnancy so no way am I doing it again this time round!

I have been thinking about going to the GP but wasn’t sure if they’d prescribe anything as I’m not actually being sick that much but the nausea is awful and doesn’t seem to go away at all.

@Ellie yeah the nausea is the worst part for me. I was reassured as my midwife said you don't need to be being sick all day long for it to be debilitating, which is so true. Although obviously depends on the individual GP but might be worth a go
