Shyness around strangers
My daughter is super loud and confident with people she knows, and nursery say she is the same there, but as soon as we are with people she doesn’t know or in a setting she is unfamiliar with, she is really quiet. We were at a 1st birthday party today and she just wanted to be picked up the whole time and refused to smile at ANYONE - major case of resting bi**h face 🤣Is anyone else’s LO the same? Any tips for getting her to come out her shell a little? Totally appreciate it’s probably a slightly overwhelming situation (I don’t love being around a load of new people myself) but I’d love for her to show off her personality round other people!

My daughter is exactly the same. I don't really have any tips as I think it is just how she is, but I am hoping she will grow out of it as she gets older.
My little boy is the same he’s very loud around people he knows but he’s just started nursery and they say he’s so quiet I just can’t believe it he never shuts at home. Hoping he comes out of his shell too but I was also a very shy child myself but wouldn’t call myself shy now 🤣

My son can be like this and was before he turned 1, the more he was around others the less shy he got but I think it’s a good sign, she will eventually show her personality the more she see’s people, she just has to get to know them more
