Episiotomy stitches
Hey all I’m 5 weeks po and still have vaginal stitches does anyone know how long It takes for them to go? Just didn’t think I should still have them by now..thanks x

I’m 8 weeks post partum and still have some stitches. I did get an infection in my episiotomy wound which I was told would slow down the healing process. But it doesn’t hurt anymore normally. A bit uncomfortable still with intimacy tho
Mine fell out at 2 weeks pp but I did have warm baths and soaked them. Xx
Contact your midwife if you're unsure. I am 3 weeks pp and had an episiotomy. I caught an infection early so had antibiotics a week pp, all healing fine. I had an appointment a week later and they checked it over and removed the loose stitches as was mainly healed and they weren't doing anything anymore.
