All I have to do is stretch in my sleep and get the worst leg cramp then can’t get back to sleep for ages after

Same, just started last week but I woke up screaming. And that right leg hasn't felt back to normal since (3days ago!). I've been told to raise your arm when you start feeling it and it reduces the cramp. Don't know if this is just an old wives tale yet!

I had this and started taking magnesium tablets and it worked straight away. Definitely give it a try

@Eve really? What ones specifically or where did you buy? X

I’ve started having these at 26 weeks pregnant, it’s common. There are things you can do. If you feel the tightness just before the muscle goes into spasm, don’t bend or move the leg but rather keep leg still and flex your foot up rather than down, and just the foot - I found this tip in a YouTube video. Stretching before bed can help, too.

I get these too 🥹🥹 I just usually pop my legs out of bed and stand up, then it eases off for me. Try and see if that works for you xx

Magnesium tablets have made a huge difference 😊

@Rhiannon did you buy these ? If so where from and what brand ? X

Magnesium spray before bed. If it stings it's because you're deficient and the body is drinking it all up. And when you feel the cramp coming stand up on the side of the bed.

Bananas, Powerade/electrolytes and magnesium (spray or tablets should help but be wary as if you’re taking a prenatal still it may have magnesium in it - but you should be able to buy magnesium from chemist/pharmacy, supermarket, or basically anywhere that sells vitamins)

@Jen I actually got second trimester vitamins that had magnesium in “Proceive trimester 2” from boots
