Concerns

Alright moms, here’s the deal. My 8 month old has been on the slower end of things. He didn’t smile till 3/4 months, didn’t roll till 7 months. I was always okay knowing babies grow at different rates, but now our pediatrician say that she’s watching him closely to see if there is the possibility of autism. Now I’m all stressed and over analyze every milestone. So, is there anyone else whose baby is 8.5 months old that has not gotten onto all fours yet or scooted. He spends 90% of his day sitting or on his stomach.

Some babies never crawl and they recently removed crawling milestone because of how much it can vary on when they start to crawl. Try not to stress it. Babies develop at there own pace!

My boy is 8.5 too and just literally tried getting on all fours but spends most his time rolling or playing on tummy/back. I’ve tried to remember yes they are trained in their field but it’s only one perspective and nobody knows your kiddo quite like you, if your worries follow up but if that was not your original idea on the situation try not to give it too much weight 🙏

My baby is 8.5 months old and does not crawl. But she always hated tummy time. She’s more of an on her feet gal.

8 months is WAY to early to be talking about autism at all..Find a new pediatrician!! Sounds normal to me!! :)
