Sleeping bag

What age are others starting sleeping bags for their baby? I’ve got a 0-6 month sleeveless one. With my first I waited until 3 months but can’t seem to find a straight answer on google! So just wondering what others did. I’m layering him up and using 2 cellular blankets at the moment. He’s quite a chilly baby, so likes to be quite warm to sleep (opposite of my first!).

i started to use a 0-6 sleeveless sleep bag when my little girl was 7 weeks old as our room is chilly at night. she’s 10 weeks now and has been fine. i think the main thing is making sure their head can’t slip through into the bag but don’t quote me on this!

Just started my baby in a sleeveless sleeping bag yesterday and he is 8 weeks. I just made sure he couldn’t wriggle down the hole for the head. He loves it as I think he was getting quite cold at night x

We have a 0-6 months one but she’s still not meeting min weight requirements so not used yet (she’s 11 weeks) - same as use using cellular blanket but swaddled!

My daughter uses them and she's 8 weeks my first daughter we used them from 2 weeks because she met the weight requirements quicker than my 2nd daughter. It should say somewhere on the label or packaging the requirement for baby to use it x

We've using them since she was about 3 weeks old, when the weather got colder

After 4 weeks I think. Ours had a weight in it saying not suitable for under 10lb9 So once he hit that we’ve been using them x

About 5 weeks for us.

I have used a sleeping bag from birth but she is a big baby 9Ib at birth, I seem to remember there is guidance with a minimum weight, I think the guidance is to make sure they can’t slip through the bag and cause risk of suffocating, I always check the bags are a good fit and they are not going anywhere.

I am a bit anxious about using a sleeping bag, she is 9 weeks old but I really want to try it. I didn't realise there was minimum weight, she is 10lbs 🤔

Used it last night and it was great! It fit really well around his neck - happy that there wasn’t a chance of it slipping over his face. And kept him nice and warm. It’s a 0-6 month 2.5tog, as our room is fairly cool at night.
