Same boat. With my little one being 8 months, I try to feed her a little more food whether it be solids or puree and that has helped a little. I’ve been able to bounce her to sleep all of 4 times now. My little one also doesn’t take a pacifier. So it has been quite the struggle.
@Salam @Victoria will your little one sleep in the car or pram ever? Mine hasn’t slept in either for about 3 months. Even rocking doesn’t work, only feeding.
So she will sleep in the car is she hasn’t quite hit over exhaustion. It wasn’t until I got her out of the newborn carrier seat. Also, it’s not something we can just throw her in and go for a ride. She gets mad when we get in the car if she’s tired
Mine would not sleep ANYWHERE but my arms. I became a single mum and had no choice but to put her in childcare. I had the exact panic! She went to nursery at 11 months. She was fed to sleep with a bottle (she never had a bottle in her life, refused point blank). She now falls asleep independently in the cot at nursery, just a wee back rub. At home….She needs so much assistance to fall asleep STILL I still feed to sleep I still have to wait 20 mins to transfer I still have to resettle by feeding to sleep. Please don’t stress, in nursery they have herd mentality. The staff laugh at how different she is with me, they have fomo away from their mummy’s! If you need any info on the nursery or stress of it please message, I was riddled in anxiety
We’re in the exact same situation. 10 months also. I’m at a loss and sleep training isn’t for us 😭
@Kayla M same here! I couldn’t bear the thought of sleep training! I keep telling myself it’s just a phase but it’s so hard as i can’t get her to nap when we are out and about. All of my friends babies are sparko in their prams and my LO is bro t as a button refusing to sleep. Even if I try to feed her in a cafe to sleep she’s too interested in everything else going on. 😅🤪😭
My 15 month old still feeds to sleep but at nursery/grandparents he naps with just pats or rocking. I was so worried but he just did it! Still needs time at night and got naps on my days off though 🙈
Are you against pacifiers? Because that helped me before
