Scottish baby box

I've just received my box and I'm really happy with what's in it. I just have to decide where to put it now as I'm in a very small house. We plan to use the box for sleep when not in the bedroom where the cot is. Should I wash the clothing before use? I've washed everything else I've got given for baby so I probably will.
