Pulsatile tinnitus

I’ve had a whooshing heartbeat sound in my left ear for a few weeks that the GP said was pulsatile tinnitus due to increase blood volume. It’s driving me pretty nuts! Anyone else had this / anything helped?

I get this at night when I lay on my side - it’s so annoying!! I would normally get around it by sleeping on my back but even that’s not an option at the moment 😩

I’ve had this for about 2 months now 😭 drives my insane!

I used to work in Audiology and if someone said they had symptoms of pulsatile tinnitus, we would refer them to the GP for blood pressure monitoring before we did any wax removal. But now I'm getting it while pregnant and learning that it's a totally normal symptom is purely bizarre to me!! My blood pressure has been normal throughout my pregnancy but because of the increased blood flow I'm hearing my own heartbeat when the room is quiet enough!
