Sleep regression

I’m a first time mum and knew to expect the sleep regression around 4 months but has anyone else only been experiencing it in the day? My little girl is still only waking up once in the night (but is a bit more restless) but in the day her sleep has become AWFUL! This morning she has slept for 18 minutes since waking up at 7am but nothing will get her to sleep and she’s getting herself so worked up! she’s so difficult to put down for a nap now and is going such long stretches without sleep because of it!! Even trying to contact nap she won’t settle! Any advice welcome😭

Have you tried putting her down as if it was bedtime? Sleeping bag, cot, dark room? Not sure if it's advised but if she needs sleep I'd be doing it

My LG can be like this at times it’s usually because they’re over tired and she loves to fight the sleep. I tend to cuddle her head on my chest so can hear heart beat, light blanket for comfort usually her dummy too and just rub her back gently until she falls asleep

I had this with my LO his night sleep as remained okay (BF wakes twice from 7:30pm-7:30am) but his daytime sleep was awful he went from having long nap stretches and going down easily to fighting going down for 30 min cat naps. We focused on 1) routine - we wake him up within the same 30 min timeframe every morning and follow the huckleberry app sleep schedule for him 2) putting him down in his crib semi awake using the pick up put down method so that we weren’t rocking him to being fully asleep and then putting him in or feeding to sleep which I was doing a lot. He also naps in next to me in the dark when possible. He’s still fighting going down but now he’s back to doing 1.5-2 hour naps
