Fighting sleep?

My little one is a bad day time napper. Some days she will pass out for a 2 hour chunk but others she refuses to sleep, which after a rough night means I'm getting pretty exhausted. I don't want to enforce a strict schedule but could do with some predictability. How does everyone get their babies to nap? We're almost at the 8 week mark and hoping it's a phase..

7 week old here does exactly the same so following for tips! Goes down but wakes within a few mins

I’ve come to realise my LO will only really nap on me or my partner which at first was frustrating as obviously I can’t get anything done but I have just accepted it now and make sure I have the remote, phone and drink to hand and he will nap for good couple of hours but if I ever transfer to crib then he will wake up within 5 mins!

Same here, my LO would only nap on me or my husband. I got a baby carrier so I can have free hands to do things. Whenever I see a sleep cue, i.e., yawning or losing interest in an activity, I rock her to sleep. We also started a nighttime routine. At 6 p.m., we begin with her bath, followed by a baby massage, a long feed, lots of cuddles, and then rock her to sleep. She started fighting her naps at 8 weeks, so we thought we should start a routine with her. We also have to accept that she currently only naps on us, but if she has a good amount of naps, she sleeps better at night.

We are almost at 8 weeks and the same!!! I find being out and about helps, plenty of fresh air where possible.
