Braxton Hicks or…?

Almost 26 weeks pregnant and have felt a pretty constant pressure/ tightness of abdomen. Not really measurable by 5-1-1 rule because the dull pain has been there for about 5 hours but getting stronger. No pain in lower back/ pelvis area. Also baby is moving WAY more than normal.

Definitely speak to maternity triage - they may want to do a preterm labour test and also check you don’t have any infections like UTI, BV, thrush. Etc. ☺️

@Amy I’m here at the hospital, thank you! I feel like evening is okay but just to be sure

Sounds like a good idea. Hope everything is okay ☺️

Your uterus contracts every 20 mins or so normally to keep blood flow healthy but if its strong enough for you to notice a change its always best to get checked out just in case

I was experiencing Braxton hicks at 28 weeks. My tummy would get tight and I would have to do the breathing treatment as I felt like I couldn’t breathe 😭😭

Thanks guys! I went to the hospital but ended up leaving 2 hours later because my baby was screaming bloody murder on the baby monitor and my husband wasn’t answering so I panicked 🤦‍♀️ ripped all the little things off me and ran out without being discharged. All they did was check baby’s heartbeat and said it didn’t look like I was having contractions. Would Braxton-Hicks show on that machine? It still feels tight but nothing like I did last night

They do show as a slight increase, Time to tell hubby off too

I think your husband needs a good talking to. 😤 I think you should speak to triage and explain what happened and see what they say my lovely.

He was up consoling the baby but he just kept screaming he didn’t hear his phone until the second time I called after I was already out the door. My son is 20 months and only wants me most of the time, daddy is only good for playing lol makes me nervous about the birth of our second though 😫 I’ll probably go to my ob on Monday since the pain has subsided. Thanks for the input ladies

Bless you. It can’t be easy with a little one at home. I hope it continues to subside for you and you feel better soon! And have a healthy remainder of your pregnancy. ☺️

@Amy thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️
