Latent stage of labour
Hi everyone, can anyone shed light on their experiences with the latent stage of Labour?
I’ve had a sweep on Friday 18th and been on off cramping with belly tightenings, lost my plug yesterday morning and now this morning really noticeable lower back pain and mild period pain. Also feel like I really need to use the toilet I think cause of pressure. But I’m not sure if this is general pregnancy aches or pains or if something is happening!

This is me 😂 Had my first sweep with 1 cm dilation on Friday, lost mucus plug yesterday and lose bowel movements more tangible since yesterday. I also have been waking up around 3-4 AM since my sweep to strong contractions that don’t continue after. Baby not here and I already feel like a zombie 😂
@Tanya oh wow! It happened pretty quickly for you! Amazing and congratulations on the birth of your baby! I’m just not sure as it’s first baby and I’m so used to back pain etc anyway but this feels a bit different somehow today

I’ve been losing my plug and having regular tightenings since Wednesday following a sweep 😂 not much else going on

I think it could be something happening. This happened to me after my sweep Friday 11th. This is my second baby. I thought I was just having more painful Braxton hicks, felt like I needed to poop all the time. Then my waters went 6:15pm Saturday 12th with a big contraction and I gave birth 8:50pm. Now I realise I was probably in early labour for a while 😂
