Oxygen monitor

Hey mums! I'm wondering if we should have an oxygen monitor at home, like an owlet sock. My baby is an ex 29 week preemie and we're now 43 weeks but still in hospital. What are your opinions?

I had a 24wks, I personally didn't have anything like that at all , I know some familes feels comfort from it , however in my experience our nicu team told us , when we bring baby home treat him like a newborn - As we wouldn't have all the machines etc etc ... so we didn't bother. He came home oxygen free around 42wks .... we stayed as long as positive to establish breastfeeds and we didn't want oxygen. I do hear good stores on the owlet thou, but this just what we did xx

Thank you, I feel I'm a little obsessed with the hospital monitors at the moment!

Yeah that's fully understandable ..... you here them in your sleep 😴. Depending what hospital your at some wards have living quarters and you room in before you go home , maybe/ hopefully that'll help you at ease / help with your decision x
