Waves armed babies!?

My baby constantly moves his arms, especially when his tired and trying to sleep which in turn keeps him awake! Or he’ll be sleeping and suddenly his arms will do that ‘jump’ thing and that’s it… his awake! 🙃 he try’s to go back to sleep but you can see his arms just don’t let him! We did swaddle to begin with, but read you shouldn’t do it after a month old so stopped and started using sleeping bags but it seems have started this arm situation all over again and wondered about going back to swaddling at this point as he doesn’t sleep otherwise 😬

You can swaddle until they start to roll over

Try the love to dream swaddle for sleep, with the arms up

I’d keep swaddling until he shows signs of rolling. Their startle reflex is so extreme at this age, my little one would be the same if we did swaddle her!

My LO is 9 weeks and we’re still swaddling as they say their active sleep and reflexes don’t settle until between 3-6 months. I don’t swaddle through the day so I can see when he starts to calm down with the startling and arms x

My girl cannot use a blanket or sleep bag because of this Moro reflex. The love to dream swaddle with the arms up is a game changer for this. It’s worth every penny and washes and dries quickly. It’s a tight sleep bag with the arms up.

Agree plus they can still soothe themselves and “chew” on the raised arms. Has worked really well for both of my babies - just need them out of it when they learn to roll over
