PGP

Hi, just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with pelvic girdle pain? I’m 19 weeks, very small bump/weight gain, very active prior to and during pregnancy generally. Standing all day for work, have a dog etc. looking for a bit of support and advice I guess. I’m pretty bummed out about it and I’m quite a lot of pain- coccyx and right glute- diagnosed by physio. TIA x

I’d recommend getting a pregnancy support belt for when you’re bigger, I loved mine when I had my little boy

Get a pregnancy support belt , it's the only thing that's made mine manageable, my doctor told me to try swimming and pregnancy yoga too which has really helped x

I’m doing pregnancy yoga have been for quite a few weeks, have always done yoga and been active, I’m absolutely gutted 😢 I don’t even have much of a bump atm. Where can I get those belts from?

@Claire I got mine from shein and it's a tad shit , amazon have loads to choose from z

@Claire I have the baby gro one its good but it’s £30

@Natalya small price to pay if it helps. Have you started using it yet? I don’t even really have much of a bump yet, thought the whole Idea was to lift bump up? Or am I wrong!?

@Claire I haven’t started using it yet, I don’t think I used it when I was pregnant with my little boy till about 27/28 weeks when I was bigger

Yess I'm seeing pelvic physio regularly xx

@ED93 is this privately? I’ve seen an nhs physio and given some exercises but she basically said there’s not a lot that can be done for it. I’ve got an open referral so can go back anytime.

@Claire were you referred to the women's health pelvic specialist physio? There should be a service where you plan to give birth. I'm with an NHS one currently but previously have also seen private. Google mommy m.o.t and they will show you private practitioners close to you (idk why they use an American spelling). Mine is complicated by my endometriosis & hypertonic pelvic floor
