12 week scan photos

I’m pretty sure I had 4 for free at St Michaels and then £10 for 4 for my 20 week scan.

I paid for 1 at my 12 and 20 week scan and each time they gave me more than 1 but depending on sonographer depends on how many more extra. Some gave me a couple and some more. I had to go for regular scans so some even gave them for free. I honestly think it depends on the person.

I had 5 free at St Michaels at 12 weeks x

Mine were free at my 12 week scan at Southmead. The Receptionist asked if I wanted to buy any photos and I said I wasn't sure yet, as I wanted to see them first. The sonographer printed me 5 anyway 🤷‍♀️😅 x

We paid for 5 and they printed off about 13 🤣🤣

I paid 20 quid for 4 at my 20 week scan because my partner had missed it and was gutted. Sonographer gave me like 8. 12 weeks was free because the card machine was broken! It depends on what you tell reception and what the sonographer does! I've then had a couple of free ones at growth scans. More because I think they were being nice more than anything else!

We paid for 2 and only got given 2 at our 12 week scan (in January). In March we paid for 2 and got 5 because we had a trainee. Tbh they were more generous back in2021. Honestly think it depends who you get. Never heard about the straps of 4 thing

The card machine wasn’t working when we first went so they gave us 4 /5 for free. At 20 weeks we asked for 3 and paid for each one. I don’t think there’s a set rule so I would ask for 2 if I was you and see what you get? You could always walk back in after and say I’ve changed my mind can I have one more? 😅

We always paid for one and got more I had to go in for 3 scans. This was last year ☺️

I think it all depends on the person scanning and of they got any positions that they think make a good photo. For 12 week we paid for 3 ended up with 7, 20 week we paid for 1 got 2. I thej had regular scans as was classed at risk due to health condition so we had decided not to pay for any photos after that as you dont see as much but we got the odd picture now and then anyway.

When you arrive reception will ask you roughly how many photos you want, and this is usually what they end up charging you regardless of whether you're given more by the sonographer (which you often will be). So you could say one and then hope the sonographer gives you more (just ask for more if they don't). I think we'd said 2 or 3, we ended up with 4 and even when we mentioned that we'd been given more at the desk when we went to pay they said not to worry and only charged us for 2 ☺️
