Sleep issues

I’m sure I’m not the only one, but I need to know, has anyone else’s LO never/rarely slept past 2 hours straight? Mine has done over 2 hours a handful of times when she was a newborn and only when on me but hasn’t gone longer than 1.5 hours in her cot or buggy since then. Currently on her third wake up since going to bed at 7pm.

My first baby was like this and it was torture, I thought I’d never sleep again. Thankfully things improved when we moved him into his own room. Have you tied that yet or is she still in with you?

Yes mine is. I heard around 2.5/3 years even the worst sleepers start to sleep through the night

@Jessica not yet, she’s in a next to me but the only way I get some form of rest is if she’s in the bed with me. My worry with moving her to her room is the amount of times I’ll just be running up and down stairs to settle her before she wakes her sister up in the next room even with a noise machine. X

@Alicia my first was a terrible sleeper (not as hard as this one though) and improved just before the next was born. It definitely does get better eventually, I just rarely see many posts about this level of wake ups so needed some reassurance, thank you :) I hope your sleep improves soon x

@Bernadette I had the same worry, I’ve been partly co sleeping during the night to get more sleep! I was really nervous in case I would be getting out of bed multiple times when I’ve been used to being able to go back to sleep. I tried my son in his room for the first time last night and he slept through (stirred a few times but managed to settle himself). I’m not expecting every night to be so good but I hope he will continue to sleep well in his own room

@Jessica when he stirred, did he just cry a little or scream? Mine tends to scream immediately on waking if I’m not in the room (between 7pm-10pm) but once I’m in bed she just cries. I’m tempted to try her in her room but don’t want her waking g her sister (2.5yrs) up as she’s just coming out of another bad sleep phase herself. Oh these babes 🥰🤦🏾‍♀️

@Bernadette just making little noises really, sometimes he’ll cry for a few seconds then settle again. He’s so far had a couple of good nights in his room but the others have had a few wake ups - I’ve been unwell this week so have been putting him in his room at the beginning of the night once he’s asleep then I just bring him back into my room after the first wake up so I can get some rest.
