Help!

Hi guys, my bubs is 4 month old and has been rolling for a little while now. She has only rolled from belly to back maybe twice. She’s going through a 4 month sleep regression and seems to sleep More soundly in either side position or this (pictured). I have checked and her airways are clear but what on earth do I do!? If I put her back on her back she just rolls again or starts fussing. And I won’t be able to monitor her all night as I’ll be asleep. But I’m just panicking because even though she rolls from back to belly, she doesn’t yet roll back onto her back properly. She was placed on her back, then she rolled to her side and now she’s like this and seemingly fast asleep?!

Once they can roll over theres not really anything you can do, my baby does the same, so I just leave her to or now x

Mine has slept on his front since 7 weeks no issues at all. They will sleep in the position they are most comfortable. At 4 months they have full head control and they won’t put their head face down they will turn to either side. There’s no problems with them sleeping like this.

Buy an owlet ankle sensor/monitor or under Mattress sensor/monitor so you will get alerted if anything happens regarding them putting their face down into the bed. You will be able to relax and switch off to get some sleep then. I bought the owlet one as my little boy was struggling with silent reflux and was struggling to sleep on his back so I let him sleep on his front for naps in the day where I could watch him at first but was always still petrified of anything happening and me not noticing. But once he has the monitor on I know it will alert me if his oxygen levels dip if ever went face down so my mind is much more at ease. The Owlet one works for me more than an under mattress one as it can then be used anywhere in the house not just on his bed. And especially for me I kept falling asleep when up breastfeeding at night and baby fell asleep on me which obviously can be dangerous. I have had two occasions when baby must have gone face down and it’s buzzed me. So glad I got it.

Thanks all - it’s really reassuring. I think I was worried mainly because she can’t turn back onto her back fully yet and I don’t want her to get stuck like this. She does sometimes face plant the mattress but mostly her head is to the side

My son is the same, can't roll back yet but has been sleeping on his front for a few weeks and nothing I can do about it because he rolls over when I am asleep. I watched how he was sleeping during naps and how he would lift his head quite high turn it each side and I feel more comfortable with it now as I can see he will move it if needed!
