How old was little one when you dropped nap completely?

How old was your little one when you completely went from one to zero naps? If they are two years old, can you elaborate two year old and how many months because every month counts lol also when they dropped their nap, how many hours are they sleeping throughout the night. I think my little one is showing signs of dropping her nap but just want to hear some feedback

My two year old still naps

@Samantha how long are her naps usually. Out of nowhere my almost 2-year-old went from napping two hours to 45 minutes to an hour. Just trying to figure out what’s going on. She sleeps from 7 PM to 7 AM so nighttime has never been a problem, but I feel like it’s too soon to drop the nap.

On weekends I let her sleep 3 hours she gose down around 1200 and sleeps till 3 and then during the week she sleeps for about two hours and some changes at daycare and bed time is 9:30 she sleep to 6 on weeks and weekends we don’t really have schedule time to rise

My 2.5 year old has mostly given up her naps. She went from sleeping 2 hours at home (and 1.5 hour at nursery the one day that she goes a week) to most days having no naps at home and maybe an hour at nursery, which I think is mostly because other kids in the room are sleeping. But sometimes she skips it! She used to go to sleep 8pm-6am and now she’s sleeping about 6:30pm-6:30am. This has only been the last few weeks though so there is the odd day that she still wants to go down for a nap but less frequently every week x

After my kid turned 2 years old, she would go through phases of not napping (more specifically, would only nap 1-2 times a week) and then would go back to napping pretty regularly. After she turned 3 the naps would be really late in the day and started messing with bedtime so I stopped offering naps. I still offered quiet time when I could, cause I needed a break, and also weirdly it would seem to help her go to bed more on time at night. The naps are very maddening to figure out, you kind of have to experiment a bit and figure out what works for you and your kid.

If it’s not messing with night sleep and your kid isn’t getting fussy or tired or acting super disregulated, they’re probably ok without a nap. But at 2 years old I think I’d try to keep offering the nap. If the nap is shortening that might indicate she’s going to drop the nap sooner than other kids might, but if it’s not messing with things when she naps I think you’re ok. When the naps get late in the day or bedtime starts getting too late, then it probably makes sense to drop them.

2.5 years old and my son is taking a nap maybe 3 out of 7 days per week maximum. Hasn't fully dropped it yet but feels like we're not far off

@Ellen thank you very helpful! Yes some days if I’m lucky I get the 1.5 nap but today I realized if she’s getting a solid 11.5-12 hours of sleep overnight that might be the cause of shorter nap. I will definitely keep offering her the naps because I am not ready for the drop😂😂

@Sarah helpful! Thank you
