He wears a vest and sleepsuit. Sometimes a sleeping bag if it is colder. He has never had a pillow etc. so knows no different and is perfectly happy! He loves being wrapped and snuggled in Mummy's duvet but doesn't associate it with sleep as such. Until he stops turning himself upside down during the night I won't be giving him bedding.
The nhs advises that your baby is over 1 so you can use one as soon as you feel comfortable. I don’t think I would but we tried it and he sleeps so much better! We don’t use a pillow as he’s still all over his cot and he’s a front sleeper.
I think it’s just what you feel comfortable with. My LB has had a pillow since around 8 months and a duvet since he turned one. He also has a little blanket that he loves to hold on to and then a little comforter teddy too. Both he’s had since a few months old. He loves to bury his head into the pillow but we’ve always felt safe with what he has x
My little girl is 13 months and got a pillow and duvet in her cot bed also sleeps with her blanket at nap times although she still co sleeps in our bed at night atm x
@Natalie do you still have the sides up on your cotbed?
Thank you just thinking mainly about a blanket x
@Sofia yeah and lowest setting xxx
My daughter sleeps with a duvet and pillow set from Amazon but the pillow and duvet set is literally so thin so I have no concerns about it. She’s almost 15 months old
Just a sleeping bag. For a blanket I feel like there’s no point yet as he flops around the crib all night. I won’t give him one until he can pull the covers over himself. I’ve rolled a blanket and placed it on one side of the crib as when he rolls in his side he likes to have his feet propped up as he does on me when we co sleep
We’re still using a sleeping bag & empty cot, well she has her “blankie” in there as comfort, which she cuddles but regarding duvet and pillow it’s not recommended until their in a bed I believe because the cot can be restricting x
