Day Old Baby
Is it normal for my day old baby to be waking every hour and crying??
I will put her in the crib and shortly after will be crying. I don’t think she is hungry because I’ve fed her and always check that her nappy is clean.

She is just used to being in your warm tummy/hearing your voice all of the time. It’s intense for you but lots of cuddles and skin to skin x
Yes. Very normal. She's been kept at a constant temperature and always fed and never alone for her entire life so far, now she's outside the womb it's a big adjustment period. They need feeding very often as they can only take a tiny amount at once.

Very normal, I don’t think I put mine down at all for the first 3 or 4 days and she didn’t sleep in the crib for more than about 20 minutes for about the first two weeks. They just want lots of cuddles and skin to skin contact with you. There stomach is the size of a marble at a day old, so the feed really often at the beginning. If you are breast feeding she probably is hungry/ wants comfort from being on your breast.
