Lactation Consultant

Ladies - if you’re having trouble/anxiety about breastfeeding, please look into finding a lactation consultant. My baby is 4 days old and breastfeeding has been stressing me out as I’ve struggled to get him to latch. After an awful night last night, I called a local lactation consultant who had a slot this afternoon and she has been SO helpful! Gave me new positions to try feeding in which work better for baby and me, discussed a plan moving forwards to reduce the stress I’ve been feeling and increase my milk supply, showed me some new nipple shields which work much better for him, and generally gave me loads of great advice and reassurance which I really needed! X
