Colostrum harvesting

Has anyone else harvested colostrum at 35+½ weeks? Google says not to before 36/37 weeks but just wondering if it has a negative impact or if it's safe? TIA x

I started at 35+5. I’m currently 37+1 baby’s been absolutely fine. I was told you can from 36 weeks x

I started at 31 weeks and have been fine. I think at 35 and a bit weeks you should be fine

I read that it can potentially stimulate your uterus to contract (because you're stimulating nipples which can release oxytocin) so there's a chance it could cause you to go into labor. Not sure exactly how likely that is though!

I would share my experience I did harvesting at 36weeks + 4 days And I was in labor just after 2 days of it ….. I’m not sure it was harvesting which initiated my labor or it was just the time ..

I started at 36 weeks and was fine. My midwife advised me not to try before hand. If you're not sure if it could hurt your baby or not, just wait another few days?
