Sleep!

What time does everyone’s 6 month old go to bed? I’m struggling with the whole sleep situation she used to be a really good sleeper but lately she has just been wide awake until about 11/11:30pm and she doesn’t sleep in the day only 30 mins twice a day it’s ridiculous I don’t know what else to do? Any advice?

I used a white noise machine, started off with Amazon music pink noise to see if it worked then brought the machine, and it’s the best thing we’ve ever brought.

@Jen I have white noise but she’s so tired she arches her back when I rock her she screams in the crib when I put her in I just don’t know what to do!? It’s like a circle is it that she’s going through a regression but I don’t know!

Taking Cara Babies website has loads of helpful info xx

I had the same thing with my son. All of a sudden, at about 6 months old, the exact same thing. Two naps of about 30 minutes during the day, and then up until 11/12am. And every time I got him to sleep in my arms by shushing him and put him in the crib, he'd wake up immediately and refuse to fall asleep. Eventually, I had to put him in my bed to sleep in my arms if I wanted to go to bed any earlier than 12am. My son is now 3... and still sleeps in my bed 🤦‍♀️. I do remember asking my doc about it, and he had some good advice, for me however it obviously didn't work 😅. Maybe try speaking to your doctor?

When my daughter was 6 months old her end time was 6:30-7pm. What does your nap and bedtime routine look like? Is she in her own room ? Is she crying in her bed at night or just laying there ? Did you do any form of sleep training ?

She is likely overtired. At 6 months they should be taking 2-3 naps ranging 1-1.5hours each. My 7 month old is down to 2 naps but this is her schedule. Up around 630am 1st nap 9am-10:30am 2nd nap 12:15p-2:30p Bedtime anywhere from 545p-615p She wakes up around 10p,2a,and 5am for milk and I change her at 5am if she's wet and she'll lay back down for about an hour or so until she wakes up. As she gets closer to 1y/o I'll decrease how much milk I give her until she can go the night without waking. I recommend keeping a pretty tight routine of sleep schedules. I know it sucks ass to be tied down to a nap schedule but it helps so much with meltdowns and having better sleep. It will take a few days of being consistent with naps and bedtime but it will come. Also I have routine for when she goes to lay down. It's diaper change, sleep sack, milk with light rocking, when she gets sleepy I lay her on her side in the crib give her the bottle and cover her with her super light breathable baby blanket,

Then when she gets super tired I take the bottle away and she passes out. I have been running a fan near the outside of her door for white noise so she doesn't get woken up as easily as we have a toddler as well.
