Anyone else?

Does anyone else still need to rock baby to sleep or get them sleeping on you/in your bed etc, then transfer them into cot once they're asleep? If I try to get him to fall asleep in his cot it's a nightmare, he's either screaming his lungs out or he's standing up, babbling and laughing for literally hours!

I still rock and cuddle to sleep and we love it. She won't be small for long and it works for us xxx

I second what Gemma said xx

@Gemma that's a great way to look at it. I always get so stressed and wonder what I'm doing wrong that he won't just sleep 🥲 but I do enjoy the cuddles x

If cuddles work for you, then keep going with them. No one else can tell you what your child needs. I love the cuddles đź’• and she is growing up so fast. It's our special time, and it makes me so happy to know that she feels so safe and happy that she can fall asleep in my arms.

Most nights our daughter falls asleep on us on the sofa and then we transfer her. She used to go off in her cot fine from about 6 months to a year then as soon as she turned one, she wanted cuddling to sleep. We love it 🥰 it gives us time after work to just sit and hold her and time to slow down after the chaos of a full day at work then bathtime etc!

We did it for our LG for all naps and bedtime til about 6 week ago when she suddenly decided she didn’t want to do that anymore. Was quite sad and literally stopped overnight! So enjoy it, you never know when it’ll stop, thought I’d be doing it for months to come yet.

We cuddle to sleep now and she crawls into bed with me in the night if she's unsettled and goes straight off to sleep again without a fuss. I did sleep teach a while ago but she has been poorly with a cold and cuddles were the only thing that helped and she stopped BF before bed this week so I'm just enjoying my cuddles as it's only me she wants, daddy just gets screamed at...

My little one still has a bottle of milk, sometimes she will fall asleep on it or sometimes she will have some milk and then we will cuddle to sleep. I’ll keep her with me a little while and then transfer. As others said, if it works for you, you do you. They’re not going to be this small forever, and we will one day absolutely miss these moments. 💗

We still cuddle / rock to sleep then move to cot - he will usually only stay in his cot for a couple of hours before crying then he comes in with us from 11pm til morning ❤️
